Project Management

When feasibility stages are complete, the MDCI Project Management team comes to the fore. The team is headed by the MDCI Project Manager who becomes our client's single point of contact for all aspects of the development process. Using MDCI's sound methodology and commitment to best working practice, a planning strategy is formulated to meet all objectives and management functions are implemented for each stage of the process.

We are able to source, negotiate and appoint all necessary external services such as architects, surveyors, lawyers, builders, interior designers, where these have not already been engaged by the client. Our established working relationships with a large number of service providers mean that we can secure both optimum pricing and flexible working arrangements, benefits which pass directly to our client.

MDCI incorporate an extensive bidding process in order to determine the most suitable constructor for the project. This process immediately delivers bottom line saving for our client and ensures that the constructor is committed both in terms of time and quality of workmanship.

We ensure that all legal and licensing requirements are in place. These vary depending upon location but in general will entail the issue of correct planning and construction licenses by the local authorities and the drawing up of service contracts with the various providers.

The Project Manager provides an interface between the client and the entire team of service providers, approving and supervising in detail every component at each stage of the development process and resolving the inevitable hiccups along the way. The client is kept informed to an agreed format and detailed reports are submitted at agreed intervals during the process. This reporting provides the opportunity for regular refinement of the project and is also the basis for agreeing adaptations. The Project Manager ensures that the project proceeds according to schedule and within its established parameters, from early planning stages through construction management to final snagging and occupation license issue, resulting in delivery of a construction project that completely fulfils all expectations.
